Seeking a one-of-a-kind event that would help drive home a message of empowerment and tie in to Nashville’s “Music City” moniker, a customer challenged the Gaylord Opryland team to develop an evening that would leave a lasting impression on its attendees. Building on the theme of “From Edison to LED,” the event brought innovation to life with whimsical junk gypsy décor that echoed the idea that one man’s trash is another’s treasure. The progressive evening wove in music throughout—beginning with dinner at the hotel featuring bluegrass covers of pop songs by The Cleverley’s and culminating with a private Kelly Clarkson concert at the hotel’s Wildhorse Saloon in downtown Nashville.
