Go Green for Your Meeting
Small changes to your set-up make a big impact. Start with a linen-less table decorated with a live potted plant, and use water pitchers as alternatives for bottled water. All of our paper products are made of a minimum 30% post-consumer recycled content, and recycling receptacles are strategically placed in the room.
What and how do we recycle? Almost everything! This includes paper, cardboard, aluminum, tin, glass and plastics. Our single-stream recycling program makes it even easier for our guests to participate.
For audio-visual needs, we encourage you to partner with our onsite provider, PSAV, utilizing ENERGY STAR® rated equipment, flip charts made of 30% post-consumer recycled content, and all markers made of certified non-toxic water-based ink.
Eating Clean, Re-Defined
We support Marriott International’s #skipthestraw campaign as part of our Serve 360 efforts to reduce our environmental impact. If needed, straws are available upon request.
Seafood, and addressing its impacts, is critical for the health of our planet, the communities where we do business, the businesses we operate, and the guests we serve every day. By integrating sustainability and trace-ability, and improving our seafood procurement, we are committed to sourcing, offering and preparing higher quality sustainable products that positively contribute to the environmental, economic, and social well-being of farming and fishing communities.
We proudly offer shade grown, organic coffee and fair trade coffee, tea, cocoa and sugar; and our restaurants and banquet department are Styrofoam-free.
Food waste is minimized with our composting partner, Miramar Greenery, where it returns to Mother Earth. Cooking oil is filtered to extend its life and then recycled once unusable for cooking. We partner with New Leaf Bio fuel who takes our used cooking oil and turns it into high-quality bio-diesel. This is then used in place of petroleum diesel, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 80%.

There is even more happening behind the scenes that makes a lasting impact to reduce our energy and water usage, including usage of a STEM battery storage system, high efficiency boilers, and low water usage foliage. We care about the dangers of releasing chemicals into the environment and have made a conscious decision to use Green Eco-lab cleaning products throughout hotel.
