Due to the change in the travel industry and the direct impact COVID-19 had on the Cape Town Marriott Hotel Crystal Towers' sales forecasts, we’ve had to quickly adapt to the changes in the industry and constantly pivoting our focus to the leisure and local markets. Based on this and after careful consideration, we have implemented our very own Halaal Certified Kitchen.

We also noticed a gap in the market and a need for Halaal restaurants in our node as there are not many upmarket Halaal offerings around the hotel and luckily we has an extra space in the kitchen which we quickly converted in accordance the rules and regulations laid out to us by the Muslim Judicial Council Halaal Trust.

In terms of operation, the Halaal kitchen is completely separate from the main kitchen as well as the seating area (unless our Halaal guests are comfortable with sitting between other guests). We also offer two separate Halaal menus for breakfast and an All Day Dining Halaal menu which is available from 11:00 and this is also offered as a room service offering throughout the hotel. 

Breakfast served from 07h00 – 11h00.  Please advise your waiter should you require turkey bacon as an alternative.
