During this time period, special Holomua Renovation Rates from $199 per night are available for certain rooms, providing a great opportunity to save on an unforgettable trip to Maui this summer. Wailea’s two pristine white sand beaches are a brief stroll from the resort, and stunning snorkeling and stand up paddleboarding can be enjoyed directly in front of the resort. The beautiful island of Maui offers incredible outdoor activities, wellness options, and sightseeing. Don't miss the Shops at Wailea, offering world-class shopping and dining steps from the resort.

‘Ohi Pools – Now Open

Spend the day at the resort's two newest pools, overlooking the spectacular Pacific. The dramatic infinity edge ‘Ohi Pools, a $5 million renovation, are steps from the ocean – so close you’ll hear the waves at the coastline. Swim and splash, then soak in two new whirlpool spas. Relax in your choice of chaises or lounge chairs, or reserve a cabana for your exclusive use. Sip cocktails and order from KAPA's Poolside menu; our team will ensure your every expectation is exceeded.

Whale’s Tale – Now Open

Enjoy the spectacular Maui sunset while sipping on your favorite cocktail. From sunrise juice bar to savory evening small plates and fish tacos, this casual beach bar is the closest cocktail spot to the water in Wailea. Don't miss the Kula Green, a fresh-pressed elixir of kale, parsley, cucumber, celery and apple.

Aulani Ballroom & Event Spaces – Now Open

Reimagine your next meeting. Modernized event spaces incorporate Maui’s gorgeous surroundings into the overall design and experience. Enjoy the trade wind breezes and sweeping Pacific Ocean views from our updated pre-function space, which flow naturally into each ballroom, meeting room, and breakout room. Meeting and event planners have been eager to book their next function in the new spaces, which feature sophisticated interiors, cool color palettes inspired by the ever-changing Pacific – think deep blues and grays – and contemporary new furniture, lighting, and layouts. Significant upgrades to technology ensure your next event runs flawlessly.

KAPA Restaurant - Open Now

A playful spot to gather poolside, KAPA restaurant will be the perfect spot to meet for lunch and sunset cocktails, or a snack between dips in the ‘Ohi Pools. The menu is inspired by Hawaii's natural and sustainable resources and features local interpretations on comforting favorites. Sip on a craft cocktail while playing vintage games, like shuffleboard and billiards. After sunset, gather by the new firepit and strike up a conversation – you’re sure to make new friends!

Grand Lanai Lobby - Now Open

The tree-lined drive and dramatic open-air lobby have always been part of our spectacular arrival experience. This summer, a brand new lobby will welcome you to our re-imagined resort in style. Every aspect of your arrival will be refreshed, allowing you to relax and take in the spectacular ocean views after your travels. Panoramas will be widened via column adjustments, while the soaring ceiling and open air layout remain. Check in at the relocated front desk, oriented to let you look out at the ocean while checking in. Sip on a welcoming mai tai from the pop-up lobby cocktail bar while gazing at the view from shaded seating areas on the expansive Grand Lanai. Relax in the new Arrival/Departure Lounge, which is the only amenity of its kind on Maui! Featuring personal showers, lockers, and spa-like amenities, you’ll enjoy preparing for, or relaxing after, your red-eye flights in style.

Guest Rooms - Select rooms Now Open

Contemporary, cool, calming, and comfortable. Brand new guest rooms are inspired by Maui’s natural beauty: waves, sand, shells, and flora. Enjoy the sunrise with an espresso from your in-room Nespresso machine. Catch up on emails with technology upgrades, including well-placed outlets and USB ports and upgraded internet speed. Refresh in remodeled bathrooms, many featuring new showers. After a day at the beach, cool off with a quiet moment in front of new flat screen televisions featuring personalized streaming content. Wind down on a private lanai (balcony) as the sun dips into the ocean. Oceanfront guest rooms are so close to the water's edge that you can hear waves crashing as you fall asleep. The inviting and stylish rooms, complete with new furniture, lighting, bedding, artwork, amenities, and technology conveniences, will delight the modern day traveler. All guest rooms will be transformed by October 2016.

New Serenity Pool Bar

The infinity-edged Serenity Pool, always an oasis for adults, will feature a new, intimate pool bar offering tropical libations. From your barstool perch, enjoy panoramic views of the bay, with the islands of Kaho‘olawe and Lana‘i in the background. Strike up a conversation under shaded terraces as you watch for whales. The new Serenity Pool Bar will open in September 2016, after a refresh to the overall Serenity Pool experience.

Adventure Pool, Kolohe Keiki Club, GameSpace and Cinema

A dramatic new remodel of the resort’s family amenities was a priority for the Wailea Beach Resort. The transformation includes:

  • The existing children's pool will be transformed into a spectacular NALU Adventure Pool for kids of any age. Two new 300-foot water slides provide a thrill, while your littlest keiki can spend all day in new splash zones. Spend a quiet moment in new swim-through grotto or under a family cabana. The pool bar will be revitalized, and a new food truck will provide fun all-day snacks for the ohana! This extensive transformation will occur mid-April through fall, on a remote section of the resort with minimal impact anticipated. During this time, the existing Children’s Pool will be closed. The NALU Adventure Pool is anticipated to open November 2016.
  • The Kolohe Keiki Club is the spot for kids to be kids! The dedicated learning and play facility will be staffed by licensed and trained ambassadors with every possible distraction for children under 12, and is expected to open November 2016.
  • GameSpace is a virtual playground located next to Starbucks on the lobby level. With a selection of traditional and electronic games, the entire family will enjoy this new amenity anticipated to open June 2016.
  • A brand new Movie House will feature a massive screen and bean bag seating. Snack on your favorite cinema snacks while enjoying frequent screenings in this intimate space. This blockbuster resort amenity is expected to open June 2016.

Luau Grounds

Te Au Moana, arguably the best oceanfront luau on Maui, will undergo at $2 million transformation. The same breathtaking ocean views at the Luau Grounds will feature new lush landscaping that frames the coastline. A vibrant new Hawaiian entertainment program will take guests on an immersive journey through song, dance, and storytelling. New culinary offerings featuring authentic Hawaiian dishes and local favorites will pair perfectly with tropical cocktails. The new Te Au Moana Luau program and event space, at the ocean's edge, are expected to be revealed September 2016.
